Madagascar Trotter is a family-owned business which was created in 1982. At that time, the company focused mainly on transportation of goods in Antananarivo and its surrounding areas.

Our passion for travel and tourism was born from this activity which we are still practising until today.

We are currently sharing this passion with the international tourists who visit our country.

With around 30 years of experience in the travel industry, Madagascar trotter has earned its reputation by making available on its website:
- videos on Madagascar which are also available on dailymotion;
- around ( 180 photos ) of Madagascar;
- free malagasy language courses for French speakers;
- updated statistical information (economy, demography and population, weather forecast, time difference, exchange rates).

We are also working for the promotion of the malagasy culture and tourism in Madagascar; that's why we make available on this website 6 bilingual dictionaries among which the first German-Malagasy dictionary containing 9,750 words and the advanced French-Malagasy dictionary containing 20,000 words (it shall be finished by the end of this year).

These photographic database, videos and dictionaries which are available FREELY on this website have cost us a lot of money. If you find them useful, you can support us by talking on them in a forum, making a link to our website or just by leaving a message on our guestbook.

Solidarity tourism is an integral part of our activity. To this end, we encourage (it's not obligatory) tourists to offer something (it's up to you) to the inhabitants of the villages close to the national parcs we visit.

To better meet tourists' needs, we are going to build our own guesthouse in 2012. It shall be put at their disposal for free during their stay in Antananarivo.
